Develop theoretical/dynamical models of satellite origin and evolution. Present results at meetings and prepare work for submission to peer-reviewed journals. Participate in external proposal efforts when appropriate.
Requires a PhD degree in Astronomy, Physics or Planetary Science with 0 - 3 years experience. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Must have experience running N-body and/or planetary impact codes; prior experience with Moon-related work is a plus; must be able to work independently with regular meetings with research advisor and have excellent communications skills. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Work assignment is in Boulder, Colorado. This is a 2 year limited term assignment. 1 year ext. is possible.
