Corporate & Foundations Relations Manager

Education Through Music (ETM) seeks a full-time Corporation & Foundation Relationship Manager, who will support and participate in all aspects of ETM's fundraising and stewardship efforts, The C&FR Manager is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding ETM corporate and foundation partnerships. This person is an integral member of ETM's fundraising team, assisting in growing existing philanthropic partnerships, and identifying new corporate and foundation funders each year.

Position Summary


  • Build meaningful and lasting philanthropic partnerships with corporate and foundation funders in-person and over the phone
  • Work with Director of Development to build and implement non-gala corporate sponsorship opportunities and solicitations.
  • Identify and research existing and prospective institutional funders
  • Prepare materials for Corporate and Foundation solicitations

Grant Writing

  • Manage the grant writing process from letters of inquiry and proposals, through to final reports
  • Create and manage development plan for Corporate and Foundation relations that includes calendar of application with reporting deadlines, and working with Director of Development to identify funders ready to increase support

Administrative Support

  • Assist when needed on external fundraising communications
  • Prepare budgets for proposals and financial reports

Position Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a related field

  • Minimum 4-5 years experience in philanthropy and/or development related activities
  • Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to translate others' input into narratives
  • Excellent computer, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment as a team player and to take initiative
  • Experience using a fundraising database and grant research tool
  • This position manages processes, there is no reporting responsibility at this time

Currently, due to Covid-19 the position is remote. It will eventually be in our offices @ 122 East 42nd Street, New York, NY
