Project H.O.O.D. – Pastor Corey B. Brooks founded Project H.O.O.D. in 2011 while on the rooftop of that motel and registered Project H.O.O.D. as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2012. At Project H.O.O.D., we provide mentorship, training, and community for residents of Woodlawnand Englewood. We care for our neighbors through services that empower them. Our goal is to end the cycle of poverty, violence, and incarceration that drives us. Position Summary

Project H.O.O.D. is looking for a seasoned human resources expert to join our team. The individual in this role will spearhead the development of Project H.O.O.D.'s human resources framework, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, responsibilities will include overseeing employee recruitment, onboarding procedures, managing benefits, and providing essential administrative support within the realm of human resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Coordinate recruitment efforts for all open positions, including the creation and posting of positions, application reviews, interviews, reference checks, background checks, and position offers.

● Manage all employee onboarding tasks

● Manage staff benefits

● Serve as the main point of contact for inquiries regarding human resources policies

● Implement operational improvements to streamline employee onboarding and other human resources operations and deliverables

● Organize, maintain, and update all personnel files and records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy

● Create and plan staff trainings as needed

● Perform company employee exit sequence

● Perform other duties as assigned by Project H.O.O.D. President and Chief Executive Officer

Minimum Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Human Resources or at least 4-5 years prior experiences in the field of Human Resources

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations

● Ability to work independently

● Organized and detail oriented with experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
